After being established in 1989 as an engine manufacturer, CFMOTO swiftly shifted to engineering and producing its own engines. It has always been a major player in China’s domestic market, providing government vehicles for law enforcement and fire departments while earning a reputation as a global producer of dependable, feature-rich engines, parts, ATVs, side-by-sides, scooters, and motorcycles.

In addition to offering a few scooters and motorcycles in the US during the 2000s, CFMOTO introduced ATVs and SXS to the country in 2002. Since establishing its headquarters in Plymouth, Minnesota, in 2007, CFMOTO USA has collaborated with CFMOTO’s corporate offices in China to develop and enhance its vehicle lines for the American market. With more than 570 off-road dealers to date and ambitious ambitions for future model development, CFMOTO has established itself as a competitive force in the US off-road sector.

CFMOTO USA was pleased to introduce a new line of seven bikes to the US market in April 2022. Three more models were introduced in 2023. Along with Europe, Australia, and Asia, many of these models have already established a strong worldwide presence. Currently, CFMOTO’s two-wheel product is carried by more than 300 dealerships across the country.

Complete divisions for sales, marketing, vehicle development, design, parts and accessories, tech support, and domestic shipping and receiving are located at CFMOTO USA’s headquarters. In order to support the company’s future endeavors, CFMOTO USA has more than doubled its footprint at its existing location since 2007 and is currently constructing a brand-new US headquarters. Along with other well-known international motorsports brands, CFMOTO car lines are now produced in Thailand and China. In 2024, a new production site is scheduled to open in Mexico.
